Comprising 60 km of TSE and 30 km of gravity pipelines, ensuring enhanced water reuse and system efficiency.
Construction of 155 manholes and two advanced pumping stations with complete mechanical and electrical installations.
Development of a large TSE lagoon for effective water storage and treatment, supporting Al Ain’s sustainability objectives.
The Al Ain Enhancement Scheme represents a critical infrastructure initiative designed to strengthen the city’s wastewater and treated sewage effluent (TSE) network. The project focused on delivering an integrated system capable of supporting Al Ain’s expanding residential and industrial areas, while promoting water reuse and sustainable management practices. Through extensive civil, mechanical, and electrical works, GCC implemented 90 km of pipelines, 155 manholes, and two fully equipped pumping stations built to international standards.
Beyond improving system capacity, the project introduced a dedicated TSE lagoon to optimize treated water storage and distribution for irrigation and landscaping purposes. Each component was engineered to ensure long-term performance, reduced maintenance, and minimal environmental impact. The Al Ain Enhancement Scheme reinforces GCC’s proven expertise in large-scale utility infrastructure and its commitment to advancing sustainable urban growth across the UAE.
